10 Day Cash Secret Review: a Prime Example of Gurus BS
Ok, I’ve seen the notes about something called “10 Day Cash Secret” in ezines from some marketers I’ve been subscribed for years now, but since the product has been a creation of Neil Shearing – one of the people I don’t pay attention to for a couple of years now – I skipped that section.
Then I got that product with the request of a review. So I looked at it and: OhMyGod! I was shocked. What an Internet Marketing BS!
It felt like deja-vu! Am I in the year 2005 once again? Because That may be the year when I started to pay attention to Automated blog posting, including Merchant datafeeds, bought RssToBlog software – and even so I felt I am ‘late’ at that time. As that was “IN” for some time then and datafeed sites just started to be dropped from the Search engines like the flies.
Now here comes some guy 3-5 years later claiming “In The Next Few Minutes You’ll Discover My Incredible “Secret System” To Making Money Online Within 10 Days!”
So What is this “NEW” “Amazing super-duper Secret about?”
To summarize it:
You are going to pay $154 bucks for ONE WordPress Plugin!
– all what it does is to put Merchant datafeeds into your blog at the predetermined intervals.
Of course you have to clean the datafeeds manually and figure out by yourself How to do it.
If this Doctor would take the time to check the Net he would find out that there is something called Affiliate Datafeed Generator from AffiliateFeedGenerator.com which makes adding the DataFeeds to your site/blog a breeze! and it costs only $77!
Not even mention the good “old” RssToBlog which at least gives you a video, audio and a report How to do it! (scroll down the page where you will find the #1 bonus with step-by-step VIDEO about how to clean and add Merchants datafeeds to your blog or site. Ah, and don’t forget the ezCron and other Useful bonuses)
Just check Affiliate Feed Generator or Rss2Blog sales pages last updates to see how “Old” they are!

My Pet Peeve:
It is the Big $$$ he is asking for this – supposedly - “new” method which I find very Disturbing.
Asking $154 and More for an Outdated strategy which worked 3-5 years ago?
And now he is actually promoting it like something Nobody else come up with yet???
If he would ask 10 or even 20 bucks, I wouldn’t say a word. Affiliate Datafeeds are good as per see, because it Does save you time.
On the other hand let’s be a little objective and ask: ‘Could’ this happen? Could somebody get the results Neil got from his one site?
Yes, of course! IF you are lucky, IF you find a product which is in demand in Certain country, IF you get those rare keywords not too many professionals are promoting in England (or whatever country), IF Google sneezed at the time you erected your datafeed blog, etc.. etc… Once in a while… (Most likely because after SE cleaned their listings of the datafeeds sites nobody else was spamming them with this method for some time – so it simply ‘escaped’ them for a short while)
I got a client once for whom I made over $750,000 US in just the 2nd year of that company online presence - and get this: his Main keyword had Only 800 (yep that’s eight hundred!) searches/per month on Overture! And that only In the Season! Majority of people would not even consider That market! Yet it didn’t matter! Exemptions to rules Do Exist! But they are Just that: Exemptions! Most of the time it is just that boring old Daily routine long-term hard work.
What disappointed me The Most was that even big name marketers, people like Michael Campbell, Allan Gardyne, even Dr. Andy Williams promoted this Overpriced Outdated BS to their lists!
I guess money talks, doesn’t it?
Ok, here is my final advice for those of you who don’t have any ethics and want to make Big bucks online:
Find some marketing method which is working now, monitor it so you will see when it become so overused that people stop using it, then wait couple of years, dust it off, create some inferior marketing product about it, put a hefty price tag on it, and promote it like the Newest Amazing Discovery ever made since the sliced bread.
Oh, and of course, don’t forget to contact couple of Big Name Internet Marketers to help you to promote your BS.
Summary:
Price: $154 - $197
Quality: Not worthy the price!
Affiliate Program: No idea! No interest
Rating: 0 out of 5
Because it is NOT worthy that outrageous price and Especially that Over-hyped, plainly deceiving marketing! Otherwise I would give him 1 or 2 points since affiliate datafeeds Are good addons to your site and “Can” bring you money - especially in this era of Web2.0 when we don’t rely mostly on SE traffic.
Recommendation: Spent your money more wisely!

There is also another program Webmerge from Fourthworld - which creates Datafeed based stores - although again, I don’t know if you can apply it to blog.
Oh, and of course, all those Affiliate datafeeds stores from sites like Amazon or GoldenCan datafeeds = those you Can use for WordPress. (I Do have them on one my WP blogs) And although you won’t be able to add them “every 15 minutes” those datafeeds do change and update automatically.

So you’re the decider of “value” now, are you? $20 and you “wouldn’t say a word”, $154 and you’re up in arms? Hmmm.
You even agree that the plugin has value because you recommend using AffiliateFeedGenerator for $77.
How about saying that my introductory price was $77. Did you know that? Did you research it? Did you mention it? No. There’s no “deceptive marketing” because all I do is say what I did, how I did it, and what the results were. I then let people decide to buy my product, or not. There’s also a 100% money back guarantee for anyone who changes their mind after buying.
BTW, Webmerge creates files on your desktop, which isn’t exactly great unless you want to spend hours uploading files… or want to grow your site over time.

Yes, I am the decider of how “I” see the value! And yes, I agree that “people” have the right to decide for themselves - as “I” have the right to say my opinion so they can compare.
And no I didn’t see your “introductory price” of $77 because as I said I wasn’t interested in Your product at all until somebody was p..ed off enough they’ve sent it to me for review. They did say $97 then, however when I checked it was $154 already.
And I recommended that Affiliate datafeed generator only as a Comparison how If somebody Does want a datafeed on their site they can have more Superior product cheaper! As you can see I have Nothing to do with ADF generator, I just consider it more valuable for the money.
Now as for the “Deceptive Marketing”:
I consider anything Claiming to be a “NEW Amazing/Secret/Astonishing” etc etc blah blah blah… Marketing as Deceptive IF it is Not Really NEW!
IF it has been online Long time ago -> got misused -> people got punished for that -> stopped using it.
-> then after couple of years somebody comes and claims this as an “Amazing NEW” method? Isn’t That Deceptive?
And I am not even commenting those poor “sneaky secrets” you give them for that price!
(Just ask f.e. any of the hundreds of members of Keyword Avalanche or Viral Instigator how many years ago it was we created hundreds/thousands of ‘extra’ blogs with the links to our sites in sidebar… etc…)

I used this software, followed all the recommendations for posting and got banned from my hosting company,didn’t have backups and they wouldn’t give me them,only had it running for 2 days,I wish I would have bought this http://www.wordpressdatafeedimport.com/wpdfi/ even as a free demo,looks a lot better.

Yeah, one of the reasons I Hate blogs/CMS platforms! You cannot keep the ‘originals’ on your computer.
You can use the WordPress Database Backup plugin and have it setup sending you backups every day/week etc. That helps a little bit as you can use those backups for a restoration - even when you move your blog to another company.

Just like i read about someone who is selling a hot new product now, and is with niches. I wont say the name but you will probably know him? I was going to purchase the product till i found he was a scam.
does anything seem to work? i have a site or several with this video script, but google stopped indexing it for some reason yet, they still spider what used to be there on the original site owner. even though the content isnt there anymore and i dont know why that is.

Well, that is the reason I recommend not to depend on SE traffic only! These days you can actually get more traffic with Web2.0 - and the best part is: Then most of the time the SE simply Have to accept your site because it becomes popular.

Thanks for the review. Btw Neil, if you are truly confident and proud of your product, then you don’t have to sound so defensive. If your product was already selling well (1000copies?) then you should know it works and there is no need for such a defense. Initially, i thought of getting your product, but i have reservations now, firstly thru reading this and other reviews and secondly, surprised by your unnecessary defense.

As for your Question #1.)
I personally don’t know the answer to this one. Most of the time the ‘hosting’ companies don’t care too much what you are doing with Your website as long as it is not against their TOS, or get couple of complaints. And since I don’t know this particular host, I cannot comment.
Could be anything from overusing their resources, or the script alone. Like f.e. I have an experience with Hostgator that they simply will Not allow certain scripts to run on their servers, like f.e. my Rss2B suddenly stopped working there, so I had to move it to my other host.
The biggest issue with automated feeds was/is that SE - and especially Google don’t like these purely automated datafeed sites and all the Purely DF sites were either completely removed from the indexes, or fell to some 33+ million or so rank.
As I mentioned I am still using datafeeds, but as ‘ad-ons’ Only to other content of my sites. It’s for the visitors, because SE Still don’t like it.
As for the Question #2.)
I have to correct: At the time of my post AffiliateFeed Generator was doing Much MORE than that uncooked plugin of Neil Shearing.
What does his plugin do Now I don’t know - I am not losing my time monitoring how somebody is BS-ing other people of their money with an Inferior product. Maybe he updated/upgraded it.
I am still using RssToBlog - since that includes everything, incl. DFs setup if one wishes, and Much more all-in-one. (you can see One example of Rss2Blog work right here at this blog: http://reveview.com/InternetMarketingTips/
so I don’t need AFG.
You have to check and compare for yourself. You have couple of other products mentioned here - some are even free, and I am sure there are many more out there.
So go with the one you feel will give you the most for your money, or start with the free ones as to get used to it.
Because it also depends on your experience. If you will have to ‘clean’ the datafeeds and setup everything by yourself like it was with Neil’s plugin at the time of my posting - well, good luck!

It is easy to make money online, but the eBooks are usually BS. You can find out anything you need to know if you spend enough time searching through all the sites. The most important thing is to remember to get as many links as you can.

72: Well, I don’t fully agree with you.
#1.) Yes, you can find probably most of the things online If you “spend enough time searching through all the sites”. BUT, - here is The Point: you will be much better off if you use your time much more wisely, get that darn ebook which contains info you need/want and then concentrate on those things which will bring you money = i.e. “get as many links as you can” (as you said ;-))
#2.) I also don’t agree with the view that ebooks are usually a BS. I’ve learned a lot of stuff I never even knew existed, from the ebooks. And especially in that ‘gray-blue’ area of Internet Marketing.

Oh, one more comment to this whole issue of Datafeeds. There is also something called “mashup” “mashups” or “affiliate mashups” - which I’ve just learned not long ago is basically mashed up affiliate datafeeds. Which to me, is probably even better as the ‘pure’ affiliate datafeeds, because this actually allows you to put together couple of different datafeeds.
There are scripts for affiliate mashups - some are paid, some are free - just look around the Net. I actually got 1 free simple mashup script based around RSS product feeds which generates a keyword-themed website with Youtube Adsense video, Adsense text ads, eBay products, affiliate products, and news feeds from Google and Yahoo. All links to products generate affiliate commissions.
Haven’t tried it yet, so cannot say how good it is, but I will include it into my Bonus package so whoever buys a product through my link will get it.
You can also download this free pdf report “HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH AN AFFILIATE MASHUP STORE” [please, RIGHT click] which basically promotes a paid software for creating Affiliate Mashup stores.
a side note: This is actually 1 of those ebooks I’ve just learned couple of new marketing resources I didn’t even know about.

Ouch! 0 out of 5! You said that you would not complain if it was 10 or 20 dollars, but I think it is now worth that! You can easily find good advice on the internet for free. The problem with the make money online industry is that is so saturated with BS, that it can take a miracle to land on a page with good advice!

That said, if you set up a database to receive the vendor feeds, you should be able to embed çontent units with individual promotion of your selected products.

Believe or not Ich Verstehe Deutch. I’ve learned German for at least 6-7 years, and I’ve lived in Austria for 15 months. But since it was my 4th language, and I haven’t used it for 18 years, it is rusty now. However you still wouldn’t be able “to sell me”.

Ok, coming back to the subject discussed, while at many places (see extracts below) you discourage use of ONLY datafeeds to build sites,
you also recommend affiliate stores, set up with datafeeds!
Are these free of SE frowns?
IF yes, which among the 2,

do you recommend?
Also, does any of the above work across several affiliate networks, or just across several merchants within the same network?

Wouch! Lots of questions. Ok, here is my view, hope this will help to clarify.
With Data-feeds “I” think you have basically 2 choices these days:
1.) Add the Datafeed store to your existing site = as I am doing on couple of my sites. = hence in that case your site is not so called ‘thin’ affiliate site, but fully fledged Useful site, where the datafeeds are just One Part of the site.(but Still I do NOT post every 15 minutes there! Usually it’s every 19-24 hrs, so the time of posting varies)
or
2.) Use the Datafeeds as the stand-alone site, BUT in this case you should be prepared that your Main traffic source will not be the organic SE listing. Fortunately times have changed and these days you can actually get even More traffic by using f.e Web2.0 sources for your marketing, than those finicky SE. Or use paid advertising. If you have enough money to spend just use Media Advertising - there is so Much Traffic there you will never be able to utilize it all!
As for which script I recommend:
Well, it depends on your Needs and Knowledge. I would say what is easier for you to install, what you feel would better fulfill Your Needs.
I - for myself - have to confess, still haven’t gotten around to install any of the new mashup scripts I got, since those old ones (incl R2B) are still working for me. And Affiliate Datafeeds are not my main focus/source of income.
And no, I don’t have any bonus for affilistore and affiliate mashup script, since those are free scripts, you can get them from the source. (So are GoldenCan, Amazon or many CJ… etc data-feeds)

I agree totally with this post, although I must admit that I happened upon your post whilst searching for one of these magic tools. These auto posting tool are not sustainable, given the dynamic nature of the search engines. I think I’ll stick with just optimizing for the long tail and capturing repeat visitors.

I am not so sure I agree with everything being said in regards to mashup sites. If you are mashingup two or more scripts you have completely original sites that are not being duplicated anywhere else. Throw that with some smart article marketing and you can bank some serious rankings in the search engines. This is not the same as throwing up hundreds of automatically updated sites using one script and the same templates over and over again. I do agree the price tag of this product is pretty hefty, although the original price seemed fair.

Am I missing here something…? Because from my understanding I Do recommend mashup sites much more than that “Just simple Datafeeds” self-updating Expensive Wordpress plugin Mr. N.S. was touting as the new shocking internet marketing ’secret’.
And I also recommend either Add your mashup section to your Existing site, or add something else to your mashup site. So it will look in the Big G eyes like the real site.
Of course, if you go the Media Advertising route you Don’t have to worry about any of this…

I loved your review. You have talked in a scathingly honest manner. I agree that people should not rely on SEs solely as the changing algorithms may take your site to the top some day and then it vanishes all of a sudden due to an algo change. Rather, it’s wiser to build quality IBLs from do follow blogs and articles, forum postings and social bookmarking.all these are worth the effort and money too (in case you ask some professionals to do it on your behalf).
